The small wheel rolls smoothly across the felt leaving a fine chalk line.
Easily brush the lines away after use. (I use a toothbrush)
Test on a swatch of fabric to make sure marks can be removed, remove all marks before pressing. (I have had no trouble removing the chalk from the felt, the pink did stay on the white felt slightly)
